What is CEC (TV Remote Sync)?
CEC means "Consumer Electronics Control", it's a standard protocol that allows an external device to be controlled via the same remote. This protocol is linked to the HDMI® connector. ARC already supports this feature.
CEC has a different name based on the TV manufacturer - see below for a few examples:
