1. HOW TO run a stereo setup?
2 Options are possible: Setting up two Reactor or Add another Reactor into an existing setup with one Phantom Reactor
Setting up two Reactor
- Plug each Reactor to the power outlet
- Await that each Reactor gets a solid green light
- Open Devialet app.
- The app displays a black screen with SET UP NEW PRODUCT
- Turn on wifi, localization (made mandatory by some apps store providers) and Bluetooth
- The app will scan around to find out the Reactor
- Once devices are found, NEW LIFE FOUND will be displayed, with two cards, one for each Reactor.
- Select SET UP NOW on the first card
- Select the room or type a room name
- Enter your wifi password (make sure you had selected the right wifi first name).
- CONNECTING message will be displayed
- Touch the LINK button on the top of the shell of your Reactor, then wait till Reactor's light switches to solid GREEN
- CONNECTING will be displayed
- THIS IS IT will be displayed, and then select DONE. Congratulations your first Reactor is now set up!
- The app will then display WE’VE GOT COMPANY (1 remaining Reactor).
- Select SET UP NOW
- Here you can select the same room as your first Reactor, or associate this new Reactor to a different room.
- Select the same room name to make a Reactor's pair with the one you had already installed
- The App will recommend you to make a stereo pair. (NOTE: you can also select NOT NOW if you want to do it later.)
- Select CREATE A STEREO PAIR
- Select the Left or Right icon based on where the Reactor you are about to set up will be placed
- CONNECTING will be displayed
- Touch the LINK button on your Reactor that has a solid GREEN light
- CONNECTING will be displayed
- The app will display CONNECTION MADE - LET'S PLAY
- Tap on the DONE button from you phone
- Congratulations, you are ready to play your Reactor in Stereo!
Add an additional device from an existing setup.
- Plug the new Reactor to the power outlet
- Await that the new Reactor gets a solid green light.
- Open Devialet app
- The app will display a WELCOME HOME message and the room you already set
- Click on the SETTINGS WHEEL icon on the top left corner
- Select ADD A NEW PRODUCT
- The app will scan around in order to find the Reactor.
- Once the new Reactor is found, The app will then display WE’VE GOT COMPANY
- Select SET UP NOW
- Here you can select the same room as the first Reactor, or select a different room.
- Select the same room name for a stereo set up.
- The App will recommend to make a stereo pair. (Note: you can also select NOT NOW if you want to do it later.)
- Select CREATE A STEREO PAIR
- Select the Left or Right icon based on where the Reactor you are about to set up will be placed
- CONNECTING will be displayed
- Touch the LINK button on your Reactor
- CONNECTING will be displayed
- The app will display CONNECTION MADE - LET'S PLAY
- Tap the DONE button
- Congratulations, your stereo set up is done.
2. HOW TO split / merge with a pair of Reactor in a stereo setup?
Merge 2 Reactors (already set up in mono) in Stereo
- Open Devialet app
- The app will display a WELCOME HOME message
- Select one of the room you already set up (and then the app will display the volume wheel of this room)
- Click on the SETTINGS icon on the top right corner
- Select CONFIGURE STEREO PAIR
- Select the room where the new Reactor will be added, and press NEXT
- Select the Left or Right icon based on where the Reactor you are about to combined in stereo are
- CONNECTING will be displayed
- Touch the LINK button on the Reactor
- CONNECTING will be displayed
- The app will display CONNECTION MADE > LET'S PLAY
- Tap the DONE button on your phone's screen!
- Congratulations your stereo set up is done.
Split two Reactors that are in Stereo set up
- Open Devialet app
- The app will display a WELCOME HOME message
- Select one of the room you already set up (and then the app will display the volume wheel of this room)
- Click on the SETTINGS icon on the top right corner
- The App will display CHANNELS with 2 boxes, one for each Reactor (left and right)
- Select SPLIT STEREO PAIR
- A warning message will be displayed (confirm by selecting SPLIT)
- Choose the room name for your first Reactor
- Choose the room name for your second Reactor
- CONNECTING will be displayed
3. FAQ
- I'm not able to setup a stereo on my Phantom system?
This can happen if your both Phantom Reactor (same goes for Phantom Premier) are not at the same firmware version. here is the recommendation to fix this issue.
- Do a seperate room setup of your both devices
- Go into the "Top Wheel" available on the welcome screen within the Devialet APP.
- Select "Product Update"
- Wait till the update is finished
- Go back into the Welcome screen
- Select one of the room setup
- Click on the setting of the room (Top Right on the volume knob page of the app)
- Select then the option "Create a stereo pair" and follow instructions.
- Can I switch the right Reactor on the left and vice versa?
- Yes, please follow steps below:
- Open Devialet app
- The app will display a screen WELCOME HOME
- Select one of the room you already set up (and then the app will display the volume wheel of this room)
- Click on the SETTINGS icon on the top right corner
- The App will display CHANNELS with 2 boxes, one for each Reactor (left and right)
- Between the 2 boxes there is an double arrow logo. Select it to switch Reactor Left and Right
- Yes, please follow steps below:
- Can I have 2 Reactor in Stereo in several rooms of my house?
- Yes, you can set up new Phantom in other rooms, and put them in stereo.
- You can now play the same tracks within your whole installation since our last update (Firmware 2.10)
- Do I need a Dialog when I have more than one Reactor at home?
- No, You do not need a Dialog with Phantom Reactor, nor in stereo with Reactor
- Can I add a 3rd device in my Living Room setup composed of two Reactor?
- You can only set 2 devices into a room, however it's possible via the Devialet app to make multiroom (this is possible to play same sound/music into 2 seperate Room in the app composed by Phantom Premier)
