What is Phantom II?

Phantom II is part of the Phantom  family and packs all the Devialet  revolutionary technologies: ADH®, SAM® and more.

Our Engineers worked on miniaturizing these technologies to reach the size of Phantom II.

Phantom II is available in two models:

  • Phantom II 95 dB  (Iconic White or Black Matte)
  • Phantom II 98 dB (Iconic White or Black Matte)

Phantom II's dimensions are:

  • Width: 157 mm
  • Height: 168 mm
  • Depth: 219 mm

It weighs 4.3 kg (10 pounds)

Why choose Phantom II?

Which sources can I play on Phantom II?

Phantom II is natively compatible with Spotify Connect, Airplay, UPnP and Bluetooth ans will support more streaming protocols in the future.

The new Devialet app is dedicated to Phantom II only and is available for iOS and Android.

It lets you install and set up and update your Phantom II in a matter of easy steps to enjoy the best audio experience. And by connecting Phantom II to your Wi-Fi network, you'll be able to access all your favorite music streaming services in high quality.

Use your favorite music app and play your music to Phantom II with your preferred protocol (Bluetooth, Airplay, UPnP...) or use the Analog/Optical jack input.

Can I set up Phantom II in stereo?

Yes it's possible to pair 2 Phantom II together, and playing them in Stereo (Left & Right).

For pairing 2 Phantom II you need to use same model (2 Phantom II 95 dB or 2 Phantom II 98 dB).

Do I need a Dialog in a one or more Phantom II setup?

There is no need for Dialog for the Phantom II . Dialog is only for Phantom Premier  and is not compatible with Phantom II.

Does Phantom II have a stand-by mode?

There is a stand-by mode in Phantom II which can be activated by pressing the back button during few second. Once it's activated the light on the top of the shell will fade out.

What is the minimum requirement for the new Devialet apps (which is piloting Phantom II)?

The new apps is only avaialble on IOS (mobile and tablet) and Android (mobile and tablet).

Minimum requirement is the following:

  • IOS 11 or above
  • Android 5.x or above

On a IOS tablet, the app also displays on landscape mode.

Is the Bluetooth's pairing mode to Phantom II "secure"?

There is a specific process to pair your source (mobile or tablet) to the Phantom II. If you did not engage the pairing yourself with the apps or the Bluetooth button on the top of the casing you won't be able to connect your source to the Phantom II.

Does Phantom II require a power cable?

Yes, the power delivered by Phantom II requires to be connected to a power outlet.

Is any wall mount available?

Wall mount for Phantom II is now available into our partners place, our retail but also on our website. Product is name Gecko

How can I update my Phantom II

To update your Phantom II, you will need to:

  1. Open the Devialet Application
  2. Go into Settings
  3. Click on "System Update"

What is the AV sync option and how to access it?

We put into the apps a new setting to reduce the latencies into Phantom II for all physical inputs.

To acces the option please the steps here

  1. Open the Devialet Application
  2. Select the Room/Device
  3. Click on the device parameters
  4. Toggle on the option AV Sync

Note: In a Stereo setup, if you had modified the latency into one of your Phantom II, please apply the same latency into the second Phantom II, to avoid any difference between the left and right channel.

Note: If you are facing strange sound delivery from the optical/jack input, we recommend you to modify the latencies from your Phantom IIvia the "AV Sync" menu.

Can I modify the communication mode between 2 Phantom II set in Stereo?

When 2 Phantom II are installed in Stereo, they are sharing their streaming flow together via different embedded protocol such as PLC, Ethernet or Wifi.

If you are not using them in Ethernet, the default protocol is PLC which sometime can be obstructed by other device connected to your powerline, to workaround this, please follow instruction below

Note: if you are changing the protocol please select the same protocol into both devices, otherwise you will face some strange sound behavior from your Phantom II.

Can I stream from a laptop or a desktop?

Our app is only available for a mobile (Android & IOS), to make a complete setup, it's then required to start with your mobile.

Once the setup is complete, you can then use the Bluetooth or the Airplay to stream music, which means you can control the device via this protocol from a PC or a MAC.

Note: Full control still remains within the app devialet, such as a very precise volume control, switch from a streaming source to another, and trigger in the Jack/optical
