What are the Dialog and Phantom reactions possible - and how to interprete them?

Introduction

We have implemented several statts into Dialog which are visible from the back light and on Phantom via its woofer movement. This different status will help you to better understand what is the issue your Dialog or Phantom are facing. 

 

Dialog Reaction and its explanation

Color on the back light of Dialog

What it means

Action

No light

Dialog has no power

Plug in your Dialog to a working power outlet.

Solid pink 

Dialog is in the "bootloader"

Wait for the Dialog to boot completly

Slow white pulse

Dialog is booting the system

Wait for the Dialog to boot completly

Solid white

Dialog is ready

Open Spark, and play or run the Phantom Setup

Fast white pulse

Dialog acknowledge the user’s request to perform a factory reset, after, it will power cycle.

Wait for the Dialog to boot.

Fast white and orange pulse

There is probably something wrong with the Dialog

Contact the Customer care to get help with your Dialog

Slow orange pulse

Dialog is currently running an update

Wait for Dialog to display a solid white led.

Solid orange

Dialog is in factory mode

Contact the Customer care to get help with your Dialog

Fast orange pulse

Dialog is in the process of restoring its system.

Make sure the Ethernet cable is properly connected to your Dialog and modem (so It can grab the last firmware version)

Wait about 5mn depending on your Internet connectivity.

Phantom Reaction and their explanations

Phantom movement
What it means
Action

No movement

Phantom has no power or is ready and well.

Plug in your Phantom to a work- ing power outlet.

Single big movement

Phantom is booting the system.

Wait for the boot to complete.

Slow paced movement every 2s

Phantom is updating its firmware.

Wait for Phantom to do a single big movement.

Fast paced movement every 10s

Phantom is in the process of restoring its system.

Make sure the Ethernet cable is properly connected to your Phantom and modem. Via this cable ethernet, Phantom is going to search on the web the last firmware version available.

Wait about 7-8 depending on your Internet connectivity.
