How to reset my Devialet product ?

Through this article you will learn how to reset your Devialet system, including Phantom I & II, Gemini I and II, Dione and Mania. This can be useful if you have a new router and need to reinstall your products, or if you’re having any kind of issues.

Phantom

With Spark

→ 1 Phantom 

  1. Unplug Phantom from its power outlet 
  2. Wait for 30 seconds 
  3. Plug your Phantom back into your Power outlet
  4. Wait 30 seconds 
  5. Press the back button on your Phantom 3 times under a second. 
  6. Wait until Phantom plays a harmonic sound design
  7. Make sure your Phone/Tablet/Computer is connected to your local Wi-Fi to properly perform the setup
  8. Launch the Spark app and follow the instructions to setup the product 

→ 2 Phantoms 

  1. Make sure your Dialog is connected to your router via an Ethernet cable
  2. Unplug your Dialog and Phantom.
  3. Wait 30 seconds
  4. Plug in your Dialog, then your Phantoms
  5. Wait 30 seconds
  6. Press the back button on your Dialog 3 times under a second. The LED should start blinking, before being plain white a few seconds later. This means the end of the reset process for your Dialog
  7. Press the back button on your Phantom 3 times in rapid succession. 
  8. Wait until each Phantom plays a harmonic sound design
  9. Make sure that the device (Tablet/Mobile phone or Computer) you will use for Spark is on the correct Wi-Fi network.
  10. Launch Spark and follow instructions for making the setup

*Note: If during step 10, Spark is asking you to plug in your Dialog, it means that your Dialog is not correctly connected to your router, or the device you are using with Spark is not connected to the right Wi-Fi network.

*Note: In this scenario, all the devices need to be reset to ensure you will be able to go through the setup again. If you are just resetting one device in the system, you won't be able to go through the whole setup process.

→ More than 2 Phantoms 

  1. Make sure your Dialog is connected to your Internet router (via an Ethernet cable)
  2. Unplug your Dialog and Phantom from the power outlet
  3. Wait  30 seconds
  4. Plug in your Dialog, then your Phantoms
  5. Wait 30 seconds
  6. Press the back button on your Phantom 3 times in rapid succession. Wait until your Dialog’s light stops blinking. This means the end of the reset process for your Dialog. 
  7. Press the back button on your Phantom 3 times in rapid succession. 
  8. Wait until each Phantom makes the starting sound .
  9. Make sure that the device (Tablet/Mobile phone or Computer) you will use for Spark is on the correct Wi-Fi network.
  10. Launch Spark and follow instructions for making the setup (make sure your device is connected to proper network)

*Note: If during step 10, Spark is asking you to plug in your Dialog, it means that your Dialog is not correctly connected to your router, or the device you are using with Spark is not connected to the right Wi-Fi network.

*Note: In this scenario, your entire system needs to be reset to ensure you will be able to go through the setup again. If you are just resetting one device in the system, you won't be able to go through the whole setup process.

 

With Devialet APP

  1. Make sure the Phantom you want to reset is plugged in.
  2. Hold down the back button of your Phantom I or Phantom II for 7 seconds.
  3. While you will be holding the button, your Phantom will first go into Standby mode, signaled by a low-pitched sound. Keep pressing the back button of your Phantom until you hear a high-pitched sound*. Release the button when you hear it.
  4. Follow these instructions for all Phantoms in your environment.
  5. Wait for all the Phantoms to boot up in the following minute.
  6. Open Devialet App on your mobile or tablet, and go into the top wheel of the Welcome screen and then select "add a new product". Follow the instructions to complete the setup.

* On Phantom II (Reactor) if the reset is successfully initiated, the LED will light up in pinkish purple.

Devialet Dione

To reset Devialet Dione please follow the instructions below:

  1. Ensure Devialet Dione is switch on
  2. Make a 7 seconds press on the Devialet Button ◎
  3. While you will be holding the button, Devialet Dione will first go into Standby mode, signaled by a low-pitched sound. Keep pressing the button until you hear a high-pitched sound. Release the button when you hear it.
  4. If the reset was successfully initiated, the LED will turn on in pinkish purple, wait until it turns green to open Devialet APP and redo the setup.

Devialet Mania

To make reset to factory with Devialet Mania please follow the instructions below:

  1. Ensure Devialet Mania is switched on
  2. Press the ON/OFF Button for 7 seconds
  3. While you will be holding the button, Devialet Mania will first go into Standby mode, signaled by a low-pitched sound. Keep pressing the button until you hear a high-pitched sound. Release the button when you hear it.
  4. If the reset was successfully initiated the LED will turn on in pinkish purple, wait until it turns green to open Devialet APP and redo the setup.
