How to set-up AIR®

AIR® offers the possibility to define specific playback settings. Click on “Settings” to open the configuration window.

In the first screen you can define:

  • If AIR should be launched at start-up
  • If you want a bit perfect transmission (not recommended with iTunes version 10.0.3 (42))
  • If iTunes EQ should be disabled (recommended)

You gain also access to the advanced settings. By default, the target buffer size is set to 1000ms and the minimum recall delay. to 250ms.

You can modify these values according to your WiFi network quality. If you have a robust network, you may diminish the buffer size to 100ms. This will give a quicker reaction time to track change as well as a close-to-perfect lip-sync with programs from YouTube or with any file containing video and audio information.

Clicking on the active Devialet open a status windows.

This window shows you the album cover, the album title and the file format from the song you are currently playing, the Devialet display as well as some network information. 

 

You can define your preferred output format when the bit-perfect output is deactivated.
Finally, you can set the Autoswitch function as follows:

Never
When the D-Premier is switched-on while the computer and the AIR application are already running, nothing happens.


Only if no active streaming
When the Devialet appears on the network (just turned-on) and the computer and the AIR application are already running, the Devialet is selected as sound-card automatically when the WiFi or the Ethernet inputs are selected.


Always
When the Devialet appears on the network (just turned-on) and the computer and the AIR application are already running, the Devialet is selected as sound-card automatically whatever input is chosen on the Devialet.
