Migration for DOS1 (versions prior to 1.13.1.17)
In 2019, we introduced our new operating system, DOS 2, and its associated app - Devialet App. Since then, we have frequently updated Devialet App, adding many requested functionalities. In addition, we have implemented regular updates not only for Phantom but also the whole Devialet product range.
Spark and its associated firmware, DOS 1, however, have not been updated since then. This lack of updates resulted in some issues, such as in app-radios or streaming services ceasing to work with no available fix, as well as a few stability issues in some installations. Starting soon, Spark won’t be available for download on the Google Play Store and the App Store any longer. Migrating your Phantom to DOS 2 and using the Devialet App will then become mandatory if you wish to keep using your device at its full potential.
Note to users with a mixed stereo setup:
Our previous software allowed stereo configuration with different Phantom models (for instance a Phantom Gold and a Phantom Silver). This is no longer available with DOS2. If you have a mixed stereo setup, you won't be able to configure your two products in stereo after migrating to DOS2. However, you will be able to use your 2 Phantom at the same time using multiroom.

The migration will happen in 2 phases:
- the first part takes place in our previous application, Spark
- the second part occurs in the Devialet application
The process is quite simple, yet it might take a bit of time - approximately 20 minutes per product. Please make sure you have enough time and phone battery.
Follow the steps below:
- Ensure your Phantom is plugged in and connected
FIRST PART - IN THE SPARK APP
- Open your Spark application.
If you do not have Spark, you can download it:
- for iOS users: from the App Store
- for Android users: click on this link
- A pop-up appears. Click on “update my devices”, then on “download update” and “install update”.
The update can take a few minutes.
If the update does not start, please contact our customer service. - Once the update is complete, it’s time to move to our new application !
Go to the App Store or Google Play Store and download the Devialet app.

SECOND PART - IN THE DEVIALET APP
- Click on "Set up a product".
Select your Phantom in the carousel. - Take a look at what’s new in the Devialet application, and click on "Download update" at the bottom of the screen when you’re ready.
The new software download will then begins.
Important: don't switch off your phone, and don't leave the application. - One of the most important steps: installing the new software on your Phantom.
Check the "I understand and accept the terms" box, then click on "Install the update".
Installation of the update on your Phantom will then begin.Important: once again, do not switch off your phone or quit the application. Do not unplug your product.
The Phantom's woofers will make regular movements.
A poor Internet connection may cause the update to fail. In this case, try connecting your Phantom with an Ethernet cable. If the problem persists, please contact our customer service.
- Once the update is installed, click on “OK”.
If you receive an error message, wait 5 minutes and try again. - Last step: configure your Phantom. From the home page of the Devialet application, click on "set up a product".
Select your Phantom from the carousel of options and follow the instructions on the screen.
