We are happy to announce the availability of a beta version of our software for Expert Pro with Core Infinity:

Expert Pro-2.2 beta4 - Firmware 11.5.17

It comes with features of our release candidate:

  • Full support of all physical inputs
  • full support of current configurator
  • Air (including Roon with Air)
  • UPnP Renderer

and adds:

  • AirPlay® (beta)
  • Spotify Connect (beta)

This version has not been validated yet by third parties (Apple and Spotify) and is not a commercial version.

As a result, if you wish to test this version, you will need to join our Expert Pro Beta Program here.

You will receive instructions on how to download and provide feedback by email. Also, please read the README.pdf included in the Expert-Pro-2.2_beta4.zip file.

At any point, you may revert to our 2.1 Release Candidate (along with firmware 11.5.18).

Previous firmware version as released on 1st December was 11.5.18, but now this Beta Release includes Version 11.5.17. Is there a reason why the firmware has went back a version?

Also with the email sent out after subscribing to the Beat Software Program it says "This beta contains known and unknown bugs", but then doesn't give any info on what those actual known bugs are???

Would be grateful if you could provide a list or explanation of the knowns bugs, as 'being pre-warned is to be prepared'. Also any additional bugs found either by Devialet or owners can these be made available for Beta Program users info.

It would not only be beneficial to know beforehand what bugs are present, but would make it easier for 'Beta testers' to try out the different bugs in their own home environment, and the feedback from this would be valuable info for Devialet (different home set-up's may give different outcomes for the same bug).

Hopefully the info you receive can help in it's own way to assist with amending the software to become more robust and bug(less) free for everyone's benefit.

    Thanks, John

I found a couple of bugs and a way around them. When I spoke to Devialet they knew about them and I was told they will be fixed very soon. Those bugs remain in this beta version. Adding services and fixing bugs as a rolling program seems sensible given I found all current services (unpin, Air, Airplay, don't have spotify) work fine up to 24/96, for 24/192 and DSD I still have to use my usb streamer. So there is nothing that's actually stopping me listening to music.

I did have one 10-second dropout on 24/96 last night, after about 45 minutes, streaming via bubbleupnp on Android.

Stevensgal - Check for the last fault. The 10 second dropout could be the 'Over voltage' 4098 fault. I have had that on a newly upgraded 220 Pro with firmware 11.5.18.

Neither AIR and UPnP work! I can only use USB input via my "ifi micro" device connected to my iMac and by the way since the upgrade I can't use the Devialet remote on my iPhone (6S plus). Notice! I can see that my Expert250Pro-KxxAxxxxxZE1V got a ip-adress on my router.

Upgrade from the RC to the beta release (Expert Pro-2.2 beta4 - Firmware 11.5.17). Seems to mostly work. AIR, UPnP, Airplay and Spotify are visible. Some dropout on UPnP. Air seems to work fine. Did not test Airplay and Spotify (waiting for Tidal support). Still using USB connection tp play alternatively my own libary from Audirvana or Tidal via my "ifi micro". The remote app (iPhone) still have some issues, only one "unknown" source is visible, possible to turn off and high or decrease the volume. a general comment, the sound image seems to be lower than before infinity core HW upgrade.

I responded with 2 emails to the beta link but did not get any reply. I liked the ease of using Spotify connect but the sound is significant worse than with 2.1 (which I am using again)

I had the same experience as JMB, no response and significantly worse. I do like being able to use Spotify both for its content and because the "Device in Use" error on Roon has made it insufferable.

It would seem that this Beta Program is a secret society. I sent 3 emails to coreinfinitybeta@devialet.com four weeks ago when the Beta Program started and not a single reply to any of my emails (nor to my comment at the start of this thread).

Again just shows Quentin's promises of him listening to the customers falls on deaf ears. The Core Infinity program is turning into one large PR failure for existing customers (and possibly potential customers too) :-1:

    Hello

I am a software engineer in LG electronics in south korea.

and working on Bluetooth Audio function in LG webOS TV.

I got a call from customer who have bought devialet speaker and 'LG TV W7'

And He tried to connect both of them with Bluetooth and to control volume.(still same decibel volume)

    But volume is not controlled.

I have visited his house today and captured and checked air log.

The main reason is that devialet speaker do not affected Bluetooth Voluem Up/Down command.

The speaker returns 'command is accepted' but volume of speaker is not changed.

So I want to notify this issue to devialet bluetooth engineers and to resolve this issue.

I have a air log for those symptoms and several specification documents.

Please be generous my short english.

Please review my request and let me know.
